Biografía
As a board certified, fellowship trained, seasoned breast cancer expert, Dr. Rivers has cared for patients at cancer centers around the country.
In addition to providing patient care, Dr. Rivers has been instrumental in the development and strategic planning for breast cancer programs. She is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and formerly served on the American College of Surgeons’ Committee on Diversity Issues. Dr Rivers was an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Southwestern and the Medical Director of the Breast Evaluation and Breast Surgery Clinics at Parkland Memorial Hospital. She is also the former Vice Chief of Surgery at Memorial Hospital, Miramar and recipient of Faculty Teaching Award from the Department of Surgery.
