Dr. Taslakian specializes in advanced, minimally invasive treatments for a variety of complex conditions, focusing on rapid recovery and improved quality of life. His primary clinical areas include:
• Cardiopulmonary and Venous Interventions: Expert management of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and complex venous disease.

• Genicular Artery Embolization (GAE): Dr. Taslakian leads investigator-initiated studies and pioneered the early clinical development of GAE for knee osteoarthritis, publishing a foundational and award-winning prospective study in the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (JVIR).

He is a recognized leader in venous thromboembolism (VTE) research, having served as a site principal investigator for major national studies like the NIH-funded PE-TRACT trial, evaluating catheter-directed therapy for pulmonary embolism. Additionally, his scholarly work explores novel treatments in portal hypertension and liver-directed therapies, as well as the rapidly evolving field of interventional oncology. Through both investigator-initiated and multicenter NIH-funded trials, Dr. Taslakian is committed to developing evidence-based strategies that transition cutting-edge technology into standard, effective clinical practice.

Dr. Bedros Taslakian is an internationally recognized, board-certified vascular and interventional radiologist at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He currently serves as an Associate Professor of Clinical Interventional Radiology and Vice Chair of Research in the Department of Interventional Radiology.
