Benjamin James Rich, MD

Oligometastatic Cancer, Prostate Cancer, Brain Cancer

Dr. Benjamin Rich is an assistant professor of radiation oncology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He specializes in treating cancers arising from the head and neck, central nervous system and genitourinary tract. He has expertise in cutting-edge modalities including stereotactic radiosurgery (both Gamma Knife and linac-based), proton beam radiotherapy, MRI-guided radiation therapy and intensity modulated radiation therapy. Dr. Rich has authored numerous peer-reviewed research publications within the realm of head and neck cancer, cancers of the central nervous system and prostate cancer. Dr. Rich graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of California, San Diego, where he competed on the NCAA Cross Country and Track/Field teams while conducting research on exercise-induced neurogenesis. He earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Rich completed a transitional year internship at Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago, followed by radiation oncology residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he served as chief resident.
