Biografía

Clinical interest in the prevention of colorectal cancer (CRC) and heritable cancer syndromes of the gastrointestinal tract. He completed a medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine. His postdoctoral training includes an internship, residency in Internal Medicine, and fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Sussman co-manages a multi-disciplinary Gastrointestinal Cancer Prevention Clinic in collaboration with the Genetics Department, including the services of a genetic counselor for patients requiring risk assessment for heritable GI tract cancers. Dr. Sussman is the course coordinator for 2nd year medical school GI teaching, and serves as the medical director for digestive health services.

    I've been going to Dr. Sussman for 8 years and he's been the only Dr that's help me with my IBS and he really cares for his patients. He is the best in MIAMI.     After 22 years working in Healthcare and after 5 years of being a patient, I have to say Dr. Sussman and his student were absolutely a breath of fresh air. The concern they showed, paired with empathy and their ability to to be completely thorough whilst attenuating fear is a skill not possesed by many in today's health care. Dr. Sussman was exemplary, and many can still learn from him today.
