Biografía

Dr. Danielle Spengler Shpiner, joined the Department of Neurology as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology in 2019. She is originally from Buffalo, New York. She attended college at Johns Hopkins University where she majored in Neuroscience. She graduated from Boston University School of Medicine and completed her internship and residency in Neurology at the University of Miami. In her final year of residency, she served as Chief Resident of Research and Education. She completed her fellowship in Movement Disorders at the University of Miami.

        Dr. Shpiner was really wonderful.. it’s really difficult to discuss my “ tic” and I cried like a baby since it’s such a sensitive and distressing problem. She allowed me to cry and gather my thoughts. We discussed all options available, including pharmacological treatment, medical treatment and surgical treatment and discuss the risks and benefits of each treatment and together we decided on a course of treatment for me.She also knew that I could contact her again to change medications if needed.She was very knowledgeable, kind and helpful.

        Dr. Shpiner was exceptional. She spent time with my mom and listened to everything. She went the extra mile and truly listening to every concern and taking the time to address it. I can say she deserves special recognition because I am a physician myself and I don't always see this in busy, modern medicine. Kudos to Dr. Shpiner.
