David Nathan Hoke, MD

Dr. David Hoke is board-certified in emergency medicine. He earned a medical degree from Jefferson
Medical College in Philadelphia and a Master of Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania. He
completed an emergency medicine residency at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ, where he
also performed ethics consults and took a special interest in EMS and tactical combat casualty care.
Prior to joining UHealth, he published extensively with world-renowned bioethicists and served on the
Institutional Review Board of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Hoke has practiced in a
variety of academic and community settings, from rural critical access hospitals to trauma centers
and elite concierge care groups. While in Birmingham, AL, he co-chaired a 5-hospital ethics committee,
in Charleston, SC, he launched an emergency medicine residency training program and in Port St.
Lucie, FL, he assisted in the launch of Florida Coast Medical Center. Dr. Hoke sees concierge medicine
patients at UHealth Concierge Medicine Palm Beach.
