I am a difficult case with three failed corneal transplants. Dr Amescua was so compassionate and empathetic. He truly is frustrated with my rejections and wants me to have a transplant with a longer “life span”. I first met Dr Amescua in Plantation when he successfully saved my first transplant performed by Kendall Donaldson. He was filling in for her that day. He worked so long and said I think we are going to save this transplant And he did! For months afterwards, my eye was good. I felt then his compassion and dedication. A kind and caring physician.
