Biografía
Dr. Jeffrey J. Goldberger is a nationally and internationally recognized cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist, currently serving as Professor of Medicine and Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He is the Director of the Center for Atrial Fibrillation and previously served as Chief of the Cardiovascular Division at the University of Miami. Dr. Goldberger earned his MD with special distinction in cardiology research from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and completed advanced fellowship training in cardiology and electrophysiology at the University of California, San Francisco.
A leader in cardiac arrhythmia research, Dr. Goldberger’s work focuses on atrial fibrillation, sudden cardiac death, autonomic regulation of the heart, and advanced risk stratification techniques. He has served as principal investigator or co-investigator on numerous NIH- and industry-funded clinical trials and research grants, including multiple R01 awards. His contributions have resulted in several patents and hundreds of peer-reviewed publications, and he serves on the editorial boards of leading cardiovascular journals, including Heart Rhythm and Journal of Cardiac Surgery.
Dr. Goldberger is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the American College of Physicians, and the Heart Rhythm Society. He is a frequent invited speaker at national and international scientific meetings and has received multiple honors for his research, mentorship, and academic leadership, including the Andrew Schally Distinguished Investigator Award and Cardiology Researcher of the Year at the University of Miami.
