Joseph Zebede, MD

Joseph Zebede, MD, FACC is a board-certified cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist with decades of experience diagnosing and treating complex heart rhythm disorders. He earned his Bachelor of Science with distinction from Cornell University and his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he received distinction for research in cardiology. Dr. Zebede completed his internal medicine and cardiology training at New England Medical Center and advanced subspecialty fellowships in electrophysiology at New England Medical Center and Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.

Dr. Zebede specializes in the evaluation and management of arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation, syncope, and device-based therapies such as pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs). He has served as Co-Director of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab at Mount Sinai Medical Center and is a key faculty member in cardiology fellowship education. His approach to care emphasizes clear communication, individualized treatment plans, and the thoughtful integration of advanced technology to improve patient outcomes.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Zebede has an extensive academic background, with numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and participation in major national and international clinical trials focused on heart rhythm disorders and cardiac pacing.
