Biografía

Marcelo Blaya is a Board-certified Medical Oncologist at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Blaya specializes in Breast cancers and Gastrointestinal cancers. Dr. Blaya graduated from Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil in 1997. Dr. Blaya completed a residency program in Internal Medicine at Hospital Sao Lucas da PUCRS and subsequently came to the USA for additional training. He was accepted into the Internal Medicine Residency Program at the University of Miami/ Jackson Memorial Hospital through the William J Harrington Program for Latin America. After completing his internal medicine residency, he went on to complete a hematology/oncology fellowship at Sylvester Cancer Center/ University of Miami.
