Biografía
Dr. Hernandez-Cardenache obtained his graduate training at Pepperdine University and completed his post-doctoral fellowship training in Clinical Neuropsychology at UM Ryder Neurotrauma Center. He specializes in assessing brain-behavior relationships that are caused by trauma, aging or disease. His professional practice commonly employs cross-cultural neuropsychological examinations with Spanish speaking individuals aimed at delineating their cognitive, emotional, and behavioral levels of functioning. Additionally, he is currently involved in multiple research studies examining the relationships between sleep and cognition. Lastly, he teaches, provides weekly training, and oversees graduate students and psychiatry residents from the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

It took over a year from date of my emergency episode to have an neurological physiology cognitive test of approximately 2 hrs to be administered, for a specialist to continue or set my treatment

I really appreciated the attention to detail Dr. Hernandez-Cardenache exhibited throughout the call. And when there was any ambiguity in my responses or with what he thought might be the correct diagnosis, he encouraged digging further. It made me feel listened to and not just another person to prescribe SSRIs to without better understanding the situation.
